Implikasi Bioetika Teknologi Reproduksi Modern dalam Kajian Teologi Kristen

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menelaah perspektif teologi Kristen terhadap bioetika dan implikasi teknologi reproduksi modern. Perkembangan teknologi reproduksi, seperti fertilisasi in vitro, rekayasa genetika, dan penggunaan sel punca, telah menimbulkan perdebatan etis yang kompleks dalam masyarakat kontemporer. Bioetika sebagai disiplin interdisipliner berusaha menghubungkan kemajuan ilmu pengetahuan dengan nilai moral, namun dalam konteks iman Kristen, diperlukan peninjauan ulang terhadap prinsip-prinsip dasar yang berakar pada Kitab Suci dan tradisi gereja. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan analisis literatur teologis, etis, dan bioetik yang relevan. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa teologi Kristen menekankan martabat manusia sebagai imago Dei, sehingga setiap intervensi teknologi reproduksi harus mempertimbangkan kesucian hidup, keutuhan keluarga, dan tanggung jawab moral. Selain itu, ditemukan adanya ketegangan antara dorongan ilmiah untuk memperluas kemungkinan reproduksi dengan prinsip etis yang menolak manipulasi berlebihan terhadap kehidupan. Implikasi praktis penelitian ini adalah perlunya dialog antara teolog, bioetikus, dan praktisi medis untuk merumuskan pedoman etis yang kontekstual bagi masyarakat Indonesia. Penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa integrasi antara iman dan ilmu pengetahuan merupakan langkah penting dalam menghadapi tantangan bioetika modern. Dengan demikian, kajian ini berkontribusi pada pengembangan wacana akademik yang kritis mengenai hubungan antara teologi Kristen, bioetika, dan teknologi reproduksi modern.
